Just a little heads up for everyone on the Sky Saxon Memorial Show happening here in Los Angeles friday night...|
What's been great so far has been in the spirit of Sky the Spirit! Everyone has been working together to put on a quality show. I'm excited that we will have Electric Prunes and Strawberry Alarm Clock people in the house, Nels from Wilco, 2 of the original members of the Seeds, and a whole host of others all pitching in to honor Sky in the best way possible. And it's in the way he would have wanted it, which is a great, big, loud party.
We are rehearsing today for our part of the show. It seems like I haven't been on stage in years...and years and years...
Hope to see you there. It should be fun! Much different than an SP show ha ha, because you see those are like therapy...only therapy at this show will be the Seeds and the Alarm Clock and the Prunes taking you so far out of your head forward that you'll wish you could go climb back, back, further back before time.

that sound so much better than a funeral, maybe everyone should have a party instead!
Have a blast !

Keep forging ahead!
Just watched you on the Chris Isaak show and the thoughts that came to mind were authentic, raw, lyrically and musically original, great arrangement, sensitive.... Your past was great but as you said, the best is yet to come! Keep forging ahead - these are new times and you guys are still so young. I commend you for exploring new creative possibilities......
All the Best!
Break a leg, as you guys are reputed to say. Or is that just actors. What do musicians say? Break a string? Anyway, have a ball.

Sky Saxon, The Seeds, and "Neverlost"
I wish that I could attend the Sky Saxon Memorial Show on Friday, especially since I so much liked the Seeds' "Pushin' Too Hard" back in the '60s (Hey, Man, like I still have the 45 single, groovy, huh?). Thanks for "Neverlost"--it's almost my #1 favorite tune of my life. Truly.
Cheers, Just An Ordinary Guy
Wow, I know exactly how you feel. This is what made me a pumpkin fan to begin with aswell. The deep connection, with the lyrics, the history, the...everything. Hugs to you aswell.
You don't believe in sending your heart over the internet (understandable) yet you post you personal info (name, address, telephone number) on a blog page read by a lot of people. Odd. Anyway, I think Mr. Corgan would have gotten your info by now (comment alerts usually come by email so he will have a copy of the original) so maybe you should ask him to edit your personal info out of the comment before some (other?) idiot decides to take an unhealthy interest in you. Just a suggestion.
I've screened that comment. Personal info like that shouldn't be out there for everybody.
